Robert & Shauna Valentine Family

Robert Young Valentine and Shauna Burgon Valentine met at BYU, fell in love and were married in 1967. They have lived in Provo, Utah; Durham and Laurinburg, North Carolina; and, for nearly three decades in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bob and Shauna moved back to Utah in 2004 into a new home in Highland. Shauna and the Women's Choir


The brilliant choir director is Merilee Webb.
Shauna is an alto. Bob married her for her soothing voice.


Three hundred and sixty women from Highland and Alpine LDS congregations have been practicing to sing at the Women's Conference on Saturday, September 27, 2008, which will be broadcast around the world. Last Saturday morning, they had a dress rehearsal at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Families were allowed to listen and take photos. They have been practicing for several weeks. Frankly, Bob Valentine thinks they sound better than the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!

When we met in San Diego, you mentioned being a part of the choir at the Relief Society Conference and how nervous you were-well the choir did a wonderful job!! "Lord, I Will Follow Thee" is one of my favorite hymns and it sounded beautiful! It must have been an amazing experience for you!! Take care and hope you and your family had an inspiring general conference weekend!
