Amanda at Omaha Fashion Week!

Amanda was born at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln, attended Sheridan Elementary, Irving Jr. High and Southeast High School before earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska in "Clothing a Textiles." Her Mom Shauna taught her to sew and she later took sewing lessons. Amanda bought lots of old clothes, especially high end cast-offs (for instance fashions from now defunct Hoveland/Swanson) and redesigned them. Due to budget constraints, our kids became experts at buying used clothes from Lincoln's garage sales, especially in South Lincoln.
