Trailing Clouds of Glory!

IT'S A GIRL!

Lisa and Topher are having a girl!! Gina, Cousin Julie, and Shauna were at the ultra-sound and can confirm the fact. We did a secret ballot while we were waiting for the nurse and Gina and I made the correct "guess." Congratulations to all the Clarks!

And the cycle of life continues:

"You are the caretaker of the generations, you are the birth giver," the sun told the woman. "You will be the carrier of this universe." Brule Sioux, Sun Creation Myth.

". . . It's the state of being pregnant, as if you're weaving a house for your child out of your own body, and it takes all you energy, all your attention." Hilma Wolitzer, American Writer

". . . everything grows rounder and wider and weirder, and I sit in the middle of it all and wonder who in the world you will turn out to be. Carrie Fisher, actress and writer

"Man, I say, as the offspring of God, is the greatest of all his creations. He is greater than the moon, the sun, and the stars, which are the work of the fingers of God." Joseph Fielding Smith

"The greatest mission of woman is to give life, earth-life, through honorable marriage, to the waiting spirits, our Father's spirit children who anxiously desire to come to dwell here in this mortal state. All the honor and glory that can come to men and women . . .is but a dim thing whose luster shall fade in comparison to the high honor, the eternal glory, the ever-enduring happiness that shall come to the woman who fulfills the first great duty and mission that devolves upon her to become the mother of the sons and daughters of God." Melvin J. Ballard

Sweet Dreams,

Love, Mom and Dad
